FAQ

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes. Food parcels will be put together specially for those with specific dietary requirements.

How can I donate food?

There's a list of places that you can donate food over here.

How much of my financial donation goes to the Foodbank?

If you make a donation on this site, either by purchasing a downloadable gift voucher or using the 'one-off donation' listing, then we will be charged 2.2% + 20p by the payment provider. After this small amount is taken off ALL of the remaining money goes directly to the Kettering Foodbank.

If you set up a direct debit recurring payment on this site then the fee we pay is 1% of the amount each month, with a minimum fee of 20p and a maximum fee of £2.

Do you record information for Gift Aid?

No. We are not registered to take Gift Aid payments at this time.

What is the money used for?

Your money will help with our rent, insurance and utility costs. It will also help to purchase food and supplies that are needed when particular items are running low. In extreme circumstances, usually when children are involved, the foodbank will contribute towards someone's gas or electricity payments. The money from the gift card donations will go into a central fund to be used where it is most needed.

Are your staff paid?

The Kettering Foodbank is run by volunteers with one person employed part time.
